Remembering God’s promises reveal his purpose for us and to us, and he’s made some very precious ones. These are unchanging and which we can depend upon. But, they are conditional based on obedience and activated by faith.

God’s promises include guidance, peace, faithfulness, irrevocable promises, God’s promises through the covenant relationship, i.e., Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Moses, The Israelites, and David. There are God’s promises in Christ, God’s promises must be received by believers, Particular promises in Christ, i.e., The gift of the Holy Spirit, resurrection, the forgiveness of sins.

Some gracious promises our Lord made for us are Promises about his goodness Psalm 145:9, Psalm 100:5, James 1:17. Promises about being with us, Isaiah 40:31, Deuteronomy 31:8, Joshua 1:9. Provision 2 Corinthians 9:8, Romans 8:32. Rest Matthew 11:28–30. Answering prayers. James 1:5, Mark 11:24, Psalm 37:4, John 15:7.

God’s promises are worthy of remembering and holding them close to our hearts to reflect and pray upon and remembering that his promises to us are steadfast and unchanging throughout the ages.
